Participants were able to learn from and be inspired by students and professors from top universities, including Cambridge University, Queen's University, University of Toronto, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and so many more! We are extremely grateful for the participation of such wonderful academics and scholars, as WIIS-C members found their insights incredibly valuable.

Shaping Canada’s Future: Women Leaders in Business and Security

On October 18th, Women in International Security Canada and the NATO Association of Canada proudly hosted an event in Ottawa with leaders and changemakers in the fields of business, security, and gender equality.  "Shaping Canada’s Future: Women Leaders in Business and Security" offered an insightful evening focused on the vital role of women in shaping peace and security in Canada and globally.

The evening concluded with a networking session, providing participants an opportunity to further engage with the speakers and foster meaningful connections. We were especially honoured by the presence of Her Excellency Ekaterina Dimakis, Ambassador of Greece to Canada, and dignitaries from the Romanian and Bulgarian Embassies.

A special thank you to the NATO Association of Canada and our volunteer team for making this event possible. To our speakers and participants, your engagement is helping shape the future of women's leadership in Canada.
